Our groundworks division can accommodate all traditional groundwork and civil engineering activities on either residential or commercial projects of various scales and complexity. We have worked on a variety of sites throughout the region for main contractors such as Morgan Sindall, Cocksedge, RG Carter & Pentaco, as well as individual clients engaged directly. Projects typically range in scale and value from £50k to £3M but whether the project is large or small, we always look to work with our clients and help them to achieve their goals, whilst maximising their budget by proposing value engineering solutions wherever possible.

Ongoing Project: Priscilla Bacon Hospice

Construction of new 24-bed hospice to include cut & fill to an existing site, all foundation works, RC protection slab to the existing culvert, RC ground floor slab, all associated services, 2 new car parks, and access roads, infiltration basin, hard landscaping to garden grounds, pump station and associated off-site access works within the existing Norfolk & Norwich Hospital.

Construction of a new teaching block within an existing school. Works included extensive service trenching within and across the existing school campus, along with extensions to 2 existing car park areas. Creation of a new recycling center, within an existing part of a live Park & Ride facility. Works included removal of the existing car park hard standings and street furniture and lighting, and the creation of a concrete retaining wall to provide a split-level site with extensive reinforced concrete slab areas. Installation of new drainage, ACO quadricepses, utilities, curbing, and upgrade of the existing road surfacing, along with foundations and services for 2 new buildings.

Construction of a new 5-class base standalone teaching block including all general groundworks such as foundations, services, and externals to suit. Additional works included new service routes within the existing live car park, an extension to the existing car park, and a large soakaway within the playing field.

We built an extension to the existing UEA building with new foundations stitch-drilled into the existing site, reinforced concrete floor slab with concrete upstands to take the externally glazed wall. External works include RC feature walls and in-situ benches using coloured concrete, drainage diversion, and renewed hard landscaping within the live university campus.
